Tattooed Angels: Work
An immortal who can't remember his past has much to fear.
Struggling with a mountain of hardships, Hotan is just trying to make it to the end of his senior year, get his diploma, and finish achieving his mother’s last dying wish. Friends know if he's not at home or at the club playing lead in his cover band, they can always find him thinking at the old broken-down church. In a world of gray, this seems to be the only place he can breathe.
Basking in the moonlight, Hotan finds himself under attack by an immortal named Geliah, better known as the element of Fear. Could this be the entity from his dream? The own that has killed him over and over again? When Talib, the element of Judgment, interrupts the fight, Geliah is furious. His aim? To force Hotan to awaken his own abilities and immortality before taking revenge.
Normally, when pulled out of the reincarnation spell, an immortal would remember who and what they are, but this is not the Hotan from the past. Despite the powers manifesting, Hotan must figure out what happened to the original entity that once held these powers and eventually face Geliah. Is it because he’s a failed reincarnation, or did something far more tragic happen during his last death?
Walk beside Hotan as he struggles to keep his chaotic life in order while uncovering the secrets of his own element, Rebirth. This is a young adult, dark urban fantasy tale of discovering who you are and what you wish to become in life that is unpredictable at best.
One's life can't be judged until they've faced death...
Talib and Hotan find themselves facing off with the element of Death, Iapetos. Failing to take him out, Talib's life starts flashing before him. As he experiences thousands of years, things that were once forgotten beginning to emerge. Will he find the answer in his past in time to aid Hotan?
Talib discovers that simply being an immortal leaves complications in his life he never thought possible. Finding himself caught in disaster from century to century, he will watch numerous lives fall. From the fall of Helike to the Plague in London, he discovers his brother has something to do with all of the deaths in the world he wanders through.
Chasing Hotan's shadow, he slowly discovers his brother's sins, learning that family doesn't always make the best choices for you, and making the right choices for the whole may not lead to the best choice for oneself.
When death comes, life can at last begin again...
Which will prevail, Life or Death? Iapetos has come back into the lives of Talib and Hotan, but what will happen when his own memories come flooding back? Hotan must come to terms about his emotions regarding the man who is his father while deciphering his newfound feelings for Abigail.
Meanwhile, Iapetos faces past regrets and must decide to let the past still haunt him or choose a life more fitting for who he wants to be. Talib can only wait for judgments to be made and decide if he even has the right to intervene in this epic closing to a century's worth of family struggles.
