Chapter 21

Snowed In with a Bigfoot, a Yeti, & a Werewolf
by Honey Cummings
Wilma rolled over, leaving one warm mass for another. An arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back into her former spot. Her arm hugged onto the man-sized teddy bear, and he was dragged along with her as she clung to him. Stretching her feet out, her feet hit another warm mass made of fur. It groaned as her toes wiggled in the soft pelt. Part of her wanted to open her eyes, wake up, but heavier was the want to sleep. So much had happened, both emotionally and physically. Her life had taken her on a rollercoaster ride that was worthy of a fictional smut novel.
Rest was all she wanted.
Her mind was quiet. The security and safety she had all around was new to her. Never had she been with anyone that made her feel simply safe. Now, somehow, she had three. Three very striking men or were they monsters? A stinging sensation swelled in her chest as she pressed into Boone and Tenzin tightened his hug. How could she call them monsters when they were the most loving and caring people she had ever known or fucked at this point.
Swallowing, Wilma inhaled deeply enjoying the mingling of bourbon, bergamot, and woodsy scents surrounding her. Their scents. Nuzzling into the crook of Boone’s arm she relaxed again, and he made a happy grunt. She smiled. It pleased her to know that simple interaction could make both of their hearts flutter. Tenzin wiggled in closer, sandwiching her tighter between them. His icy, minty breath tickled at her ear before he spoke.
“As much as I like the idea of laying here with you all day, snowflake, we need to find you some proper clothes.” He sounded amused as a hand slid down her belly, over her navel–
“Nope.” Wilma tugged his arm back to safe grounds. “I just want a few more minutes.”
“Fine.” Tenzin’s mood had soured as he pulled away.
The freezing air from his absence made her shiver as she gave him a heated glare over her shoulder. He sashayed across the giant bedroom and disappeared into a side door. It wasn’t long before she could hear a shower going. Huffing, she pressed into Boone for warmth as she ran her feet back and forth in the fur at her feet.
FUR.
Propping up, she looked to the foot of the bed. There stretched across the width of the mattress was a ginormous red wolf. Her heart leapt to her throat. Not out of fear. She wasn’t startled per se. Instead, excitement made her blood rush. That beast, that unmistakable monster-sized wolf at her feet letting her play footsy with his backside was Lucan.
That’s my wolf.
She sat up further.
Rubbing her forehead the thought felt possessive, aggressive, and obsessive in ways she had never known before. Now, officially, she had found herself jealous over all three of them, or this strange need to … mark them? To let everyone know they were hers and hands off. A heat of anger and jealousy stirred at her core. Blinking, it was new. Again, the imagery of her ex-fiancé and the younger Wilma at the café that horrific day she hadn’t felt … anything.
“Hey.” Her voice hit louder than she had intended, alarming Boone and Lucan who sat up quickly. “Can I, well, you know, mark you?”
Boone and Lucan looked at each other. She could see them deep in thought. Lucan shook out his fur, shifting back to his human form with a magical ease as he grabbed her shoulders. For a long moment, he just stared intensely into her eyes with those amazing golden irises. They were like a sunburst with a metallic look to the array of yellows, oranges, and browns. He tugged her forward and sniffed her neck where he had left his mark as if to check it for some unseen answer. His tongue ran across it, the motion loving and gentle and intimate in ways she couldn’t quite place.
“Well, moonshine.” Lucan pulled back and looked to Boone, then to Tenzin who had stepped back into the room with a towel around his waist. “Humans normally can’t but…” Lucan cringed, inhaling deep as if he could sense something different about Wilma. “Since you’re the Queen of Three, I don’t know. There’s something under your scent since we all bonded that’s … changing.”
“What made you ask?” Tenzin was curious as he kept an eye on her from where he leaned on a wall. “Surely something prompted this. A dream?”
“N-no.” Boone rubbed her back, something she was growing rather fond of and quite encouraging. “I mean, I feel … urges.”
“Urges?” Boone’s hand paused on her back. “You’re going to have to say a little more than that, ladybug. We’ve all been having our share of urges since you showed up.”
Wilma’s face heated and she covered it with both hands. “I want to mark you. That’s the urge. But I don't know how, where, or…” Peeking through her fingers, Boone gave her a smirk. “It’s like I want to make sure everyone knows you’re … mine.”
Squeezing her eyes shut, she waited for the laughter. Better yet, the chastising of the dumb human girl who has the worst luck in the world.
But none came.
There was silence.
Then the smell of peaches, sugary and strong as she inhaled deep. Somewhere at her core, she could almost tell one peach flavor from another. All three of them were aroused at the idea. Boone pulled her hands from her face. The glimmer in his eyes was full of mischief and want.
Brow high, he answered her with, “And when you do find out, Wilma, I want to be the first you mark as yours.”
“Hey, Boone, I don’t think that’s fair.” Lucan rolled off the bed and stood, hands on hips. “Besides, she doesn’t know how and we’re not sure if she can.”
Tenzin scoffed. “At the rate this has been going, and her feeling the urges like we have, she’s going to figure it out eventually.”
“You think so?” Wilma’s heart rushed a little faster, the idea of it exciting and terrifying all at once. “I mean, it would be terrible if I marked you and you didn’t want it.”
Tenzin’s brow furrowed with an angry look. “What makes you think I don’t want my queen to lay claim to her king?”
Blinking, the proclamation was stunning to hear yet terrifying with the tone in which he spoke it. “I mean, I imagine it’s embarrassing being marked by a woman let alone a hum—”
Lucan had closed the gap, shoving her onto her back on the bed, pinned under him as he growled. “When I figure out who ruined you, I’m going to shred him.”
“I, well, I…” Wilma blinked.
That’s right. I now know more about them than they know of me.
Turning her face away from Lucan. “I don’t want to talk about it.” She was staring at Tenzin when the words fell from her lips.
A twitch in Tenzin’s jaw and that ice blue glow in his eyes said volumes. There was no mistake. All three of them would rip fucking Gary apart. And something told her, no one would care if the asshole went missing at all. Mille and Ash B. had both said so over a night of drinks. She had done her best not to cry. It had stung, but it took her a week or two. The text of angry friends and the confusion of how sudden it all had gone down. Years wasted with Gary. They were supposed to be getting married. She had taken the time off already and at the ninth hour had been replaced by a younger model.
Wilma drew an unsteady breath. For the first time she let herself be angry about it.
“Whatever is stewing in that head of yours,” Boone turned her head to him, a thumb gently wiping a tear away. “You have us now, and that’s all that will ever matter, ladybug.”
Blinking the tears from her eyes, fighting the stinging sensation in her throat she whispered, “Do you mean that?”
“We’ve marked you, and you still have no idea what that means, do you?” Tenzin let the towel drop to the floor and disappeared into another side door she could only assume was a walk-in closet.
“He sounds upset,” she murmured to herself.
“He’s not the only one,” added Boone, standing and stretching.
“Wait, I mean, honestly I don’t know what it means.” She scanned the room, eyes bouncing from the closet doorway to Lucan who looked like he was on the verge of biting her looking over her, and Boone whose silhouette was huge against the backdrop of snow out the windowed wall. “I mean it. I don’t understand what it means,” she insisted again.
“Shall we show her?” Tenzin walked out in an outfit similar to the one she had first seen him in.
The business suit only made his striking features stand out more so. White locks loud against the black overcoat and the contrast of his dark skin against the white button-up shirt under the suit vest making her mouth run dry. Lucan’s finger rolled her face to him before taking a kiss. It was hungry and the scent of peaches filled her senses, the flavor sweet and hot as his tongue slid against her own. Her blood rushed as the mark on her neck grew hot. Lucan pulled away, searching her face.
“We are marked, we are bonded, and we can feel one another in ways no other can replace.” It was that tone he had revealed to her in secret. This was the Lost Alpha King speaking to her. “Remember,” Lucan leaned into her ear, “We marked you as our queen which can never be undone. And we did so without hesitation because of who you are. Nothing more, nothing less, my luna.”
Shoving him back she scooted backwards and sat up. “Why would you do that?” Her hands were unsure which mark to touch between her ass cheek, forehead, and neck. “So these are permanent and no-going-back level…” Her words left her. “I mean, you made it clear I was a queen of some kind, but not the fact it can never be undone. What about those who can see these?”
Boone turned and arched a brow. “And who would you be showing your ass off to besides these two?”
Wilma scoffed. “Ok, but these,” she pointed at her neck and forehead. “Am I supposed to wear a hat and scarf to hide them?”
Lucan’s eyes darted away. “Well, after checking, you are giving off the scent of a proper luna so…”
“Ok, so werewolves will always know.” She pinched her nose. “I really wish there was some kind of discussion before you three did this to me.”
“He started it,” defended Lucan pointing to Tenzin.
“He did,” she drawled at Tenzin who seemed unbothered by the accusation.
“And you think I was going to let them have the first claim on the most competent business savvy woman I have ever met.” Tenzin snorted. “Please let’s get you out of Boone’s sweats. It’s insulting to my senses.”
Wilma was shocked she hadn’t woken to being naked and engaged in another foursome. She crawled out of the bed. Behind her Boone chuckled before the smell of peaches from him hit her nose. Pausing, she looked back to him and realized why. His eyes were locked in on her wiggling ass. She wrenched her head forward, face red. There would be no more wondering what and when they were reacting to her. She would sense it, smell it even.
She locked eyes with Tenzin who laughed at her. “This is ridiculous.”
“Ms. Hart, remember this moment since this is what we were experiencing during all your gawking at the cabin,” teased Tenzin with a toothy grin. “Tit for tat.”
No wonder they bitched about the smell so much on day one. Holy shit, they must have thought I was a feral, horny bitch with … well, I guess I was just that, huh?
