“I Accidentally Reanimated the Billionaire’s Hellhound” Needs You
I’m officially gathering Alpha Readers and ARC Readers for my upcoming paranormal romcom, I Accidentally Reanimated the Billionaire’s Hellhound! The release date is still pending, and the manuscript hasn’t yet gone through the full editing + publishing process—but that’s where you come in.
If you want to be part of the earliest wave of readers, here’s everything you need to know.
Alpha Readers Needed (Reading Now!)
Alpha readers get the story before it goes to the editor, publisher, or layout.
This is the version where:
It’s still in manuscript format
Some rough edges exist
Plot, character, pacing, and clarity can still change
Your feedback genuinely shapes the book
The current manuscript is 181,708 words (including front/back matter)
Story from Chapter 1–The End is 175,738 words
Feedback goal: by the end of December
You’re highly encouraged to message or email me your thoughts as you go. Trust me—I’m nervous about this book, and early reactions matter!
Feel free to post on social media about being an alpha reader, your reactions, favorite scenes, or chaos moments. Tag me so I can scream with you.
Content Warnings
Nudity · consensual adult situations · paranormal medical situations supernatural pet loss (and resurrection) · emotional trauma verbal/domestic abuse · adult language
What Alpha Readers Help With
This stage is not for grammar or line edits. Instead, I’m looking for feedback on:
Character development
Plot strength + pacing
Worldbuilding clarity
Confusing or vague moments
Scenes that need more (or less)
Romance, comedy, and paranormal beats
Content/consent red flags
Anything that disrupts your immersion
Questions I’d Love Your Thoughts On
Is it funny?
Is it romantic or spicy enough?
Do you like Isobel and Arael?
Does the romance feel complete by the end?
Is the ending satisfying as a stand-alone?
Is the book too long?
Does Arael’s innate ability ever cross into “creepy”?
Any scenes you loved? Hated?
Favorite dialogue or moment?
Does worldbuilding slow the story down?
Anything you wish happened—or wish didn’t?
Any missing triggers or content warnings?
Does it read as a romance?
Should the billionaire/celebrity angle be stronger?
And… should the epilogue stay?
You’re basically my first audience, so your honesty is everything.
Not Into Alpha Reading? ARC Readers Will Come Later!
If you’d rather wait for:
✔ the editor’s pass (thank you, Dr. Jen Paquette!)
✔ a polished manuscript
✔ final formatting/typesetting
…then hang tight! ARC copies will go out once the book is prepped for preorders. In the meantime, you can sign up now! There's a spot to let me know which you are volunteering for!
What’s an ARC?
An ARC (Advance Review/Reader Copy) is an early digital copy provided so readers can leave honest reviews before and during release. These reviews help other readers decide whether the book fits their tastes and are essential for a successful launch.
ARC readers are asked to post reviews on at least three platforms, such as:
Goodreads · Amazon · BN · Kobo · StoryGraph · TikTok · Instagram · Blogs · YouTube
They don’t have to be long! Just honest.
Perks for All Volunteers
Free early digital copy of the book
Exclusive discount coupons on any of my titles
Personalized thank-you
Bonus opportunities (giveaways, early looks, etc.)
Your review may be featured in promo graphics—or the final book!
And honestly? You get bragging rights. You were there before the chaos went public.
